dubstep remix opportunity
G'day Brett here from Little Rascal Records - Cairns, QLD.
I have recently been trying my hand at producing dubstep tracks and have a few on the go..One of the first tracks i did i sampled an important speech from The Disclosure Project. I wish for this track to be remixed by other Aussie dubstep producers..
Although it is nothing to write to grandma about and i have some better productions coming up, ima keen to release this track as it has an important message in the speech i have sampled. This has also been approved by Dr Steven Greer - the founder of the Disclosure Project, whom wishes the track to get 'out there' as another medium to spread the message it contains. A bit more about the track Dubber BBB_BT:
Dubber BBB_BT - this track uses a layered synth bassline built in Reason 3 on three of its Subtracktor synths rather than my usual recorded 'rascal' bassline. I used this track to learn how to get that 'wub wub' dubstep bass sound, following a tutorial i found online. This track also has a speech taken from the Disclosure Project.
Gear Used: Mega Peavy Bass Amp (forgot name, im at work), Hartke Bass Attack pedal, Electro Harmonix Bass Micro-Synthesizer pedal, Roland TD-6V Electronic drumkit, Roland SP-404 sampler, Alesis Firwire mixer/recorder, Cubase LE, Reason 3 (all its bells and whistles), Reaper, various plugins, izotope Ozone 2, JBL studio monitors, BBE Sonic Maximizer 882i.

The Disclosure Project: is a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems. We have over 400 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses testifying to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret.
So yeah if anybody is keen to do a remix of this track - let me know and i will send you all the files, samples etc..
I will probably release this track on vinyl with the original on one side and a wicked remix on the B side - possibly by you?! Any other remixes will be made available as digital downloads..
The other inspiring idea is for LRRecords to release a compilation of Aussie dubstep..!! This would be much like our dub compilation, Dub Rascals Volume 1 + 2. An album showcasing the best of Aussie dubstep producers would go down a treat..This would prob go down best as vinyl and digital i reckon - fuck the cd format..Just an idea at the mo, but prob a reality for release in 2009..!!
